This stunning design by Jane Crowfoot was a runaway success when it was first launched as a Crochet-Along (CAL). Based on the idea of an ornamental pond with waterlilies, the beautiful botanical design featured rich shades in bold floral motifs. The pattern is free and can be accessed on the .
Jane has now created this stunning new colourway, which is based on the shades found in the beautiful cherry blossom season, which symbolises spring and renewal. The pinks of the blossom are balanced by the delicate greens of the leaves and stems, and the soft browns of the branches which anchor the tree to the earth pull the strands of the design together to complete the harmonious colour scheme. The blanket has been carefully designed to start with basic skills and each subsequent square introduces new techniques and more complex stitches. As you progress, there is always something new and exciting to learn.
The instructions are incredibly detailed, full of useful advice and accompanied by numerous photographs of every step of the way. The finished blanket is approximately 1 metre (39") square and would perfect as a lap blanket.
